Who said you can't mix politics with friends, family and fun? Not us!

HRC's South Florida Steering Committee is very excited to present the 4th annual Equality Weekend South Florida!

Equality Weekend consists of 4 diverse events held over a long weekend in early August. The mission is to educate, motivate and celebrate the GLBT Equality movement in South Florida.  The goal is to learn about HRC’s work, have some fun, meet new friends and raise money for HRC’s important work.

• 1. Club Blue: Thursday, August 7 from 6-8pm. We start off with Club Blue, South Florida’s monthly equality social.  This month is hosted by Il Lugano Luxury Hotel.  Complimentary drink and hors d'oeuvres with $10 Suggested Donation.
• 2. Women's Social: Friday, August 8 from 6:30 – 8:30. For the ladies we will host the ever popular Women’s Social at Naked Grape.
• 3. Film Screening: Saturday, August 9 from 8 – 10pm:  For the film enthusiasts, we are partnering with Stonewall Libraries to host a free film screening of “Paris is Burning” at ArtServe. 
• 4. Equali-Tea Party at the Pool:  Sunday, August 10 from 5 – 8pm. Then finally, comes the main event…  The Equali-Tea is hosted by Express Gay News at a beautiful Coral Ridge Country Club home.  Show off your new summer swim or enjoy fabulous fare and complimentary cocktails!

HRC South Florida was a proud participant in this year’s Stonewall Street Festival in Wilton Manors, Florida.  Over 30 volunteers marched for HRC in the Night Parade. Sixty-five new members joined or renewed their membership at the HRC booth on Sunday.  See All Photos
