The night of November 4, 2008, is one none of us will forget. We saw our nation move forward with the election of Barack Obama, yet were saddened to see several states move backwards by legitamizing discrimination.
These setbacks, while upsetting, must not deter the GLBT community. Instead, find in them the passion and drive we need to eradicate hatred and disrespect. Equality for all, now.
In November, thousands took to the streets of South Florida, joining tens of thousands around the nation, in a Day of Protest. see pictures>> In 2009 HRC will be on the forefront of the movement from Wilton Drive to the White House, to effect change and hold our leaders accountable for the promises they made this election season.
